AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) boards give children a voice while they develop speech. Model by tapping symbols yourself as you talk. Pair every symbol tap with the spoken word. Celebrate ALL communication attempts — every tap is meaningful!
Tip: Use "aided language stimulation" — point to symbols on the board as you speak naturally to your child throughout the day.
